Climbing athletes will find a variety of climbing walls and gorges around the small town of ARICO. The Casas Finca Pino Gordo are particularly attractive for climbers of all levels of difficulty, as there are two famous and challenging climbing areas and gorges up to 35 meters high just a few kilometers away.

El Medano is about 30 minutes' drive away from Finca Pino Gordo and is home to the island's largest surfer's paradise with an international audience. Many world championships have been held here. El Medano is a busy resort and has flat, beautiful sandy beaches. and there is almost always a strong wind. The surf schools are lined up here.

In the small holiday town of Abades, on the straight path down from Finca Pino Gordo, on the Atlantic there is a supermarket, a few restaurants and otherwise the place impresses with its beautiful sandy beach and restaurants and bars.
Here is a very popular diving site in a protected bay with long reefs, approx. 6-20 meters deep and small caves. In the shallower water you can even see turtles in the seagrass meadows.
Two diving schools and three shops with diving accessories offer the opportunity to expand your diving hobby and become a professional.
